Kaya Lyons

Director, Author, Speaker & Occupational Therapist

Kaya is a dynamic trauma-sensitive Occupational Therapist who is driven to support children to thrive in life as unique individuals & with a sense of belonging. Kaya is the director of Active OT For Kids and Camp Reset providing empowering services. She values nature, culture, movement and connection. She has extensive training and experience supporting a diverse range of children, families and communities. Kaya’s experience has led to being a mentor, international speaker, author & workshop facilitator. She supports through the lens of play, connection and being active outdoors. Kaya has now extended her services to work with elite athletes through a holistic lens of functional performance and integration. As a mother of three children, she believes in channelling dreams and connecting with flow in life.

Emma Hanna

Mentor & Occupational Therapist

Emma is a playful Occupational Therapist who is motivated and committed to support children and their families throughout different stages of life. She values connection through play, relationships, movement and nature to guide children with their desired journey in life and within their community. Emma enjoys being a leader at Camp Reset for children, parents and carers. As a mother of three, she values being connected to her family and understands the needs and balance of day to day life. 

David Hedley

Mentor & Occupational Therapist

David is a compassionate, experienced and holistic Occupational Therapist that places value on integrative approaches to therapeutic delivery. This involves aspects of advocacy, consultation, education and collaboration. David’s approach encompasses the developing of tools, education and resources with individuals that can seamlessly be embedded into everyday life to create progressive sustainable change.

David has 10 years of experiences a therapist, working with individuals, families and organisations delivering trauma sensitive, neuroaffirming and sensory integrative intervention.
 
David embodies key aspects of wellness through harnessing an active, energetic and nature based lifestyle that involves discipline, alignment and embracing the elements. Interests of David’s include meditation, surfing and writing.

Jan Blomgren

Occupational Therapist

Jan is a curious Occupational Therapist whose joy is felt in moments of lived experience. He values greatly the role that play has in supporting children’s development. Jan understands the importance of movement to support learning and engaging in the social environment.

Jan has been able to develop diverse skills in school based and private practice settings, with some of the most rewarding experiences being working with children & adolescents in a fun and engaging capacity. Jan hopes to support children and their families to continue to grow to reach their fullest potential across a range of domains. 

Ella Smuskowitz

Guide & Occupational Therapist

Ella is a compassionate Occupational Therapist who strives to support children to achieve their goals and dreams. She values the importance of playfulness in therapy and collaboration with children’s families and their communities. She has always been passionate about the inclusion of all children, having worked and volunteered in many organisations over the years. Ella enjoys sharing experiences with her family, friends and community. 

Oriane Zarb

Guide & Occupational Therapist

Oriane is a warm Occupational Therapist who has a passion for connection, creativity and playfulness. Oriane believes in empowering children and their families to develop the tools to support each individual’s unique goals.

She is strongly driven by the modality of connection and believes meeting a goal should be fun. She aims to achieve this through flexible, playful and creative intervention. This method of thinking is supported through her extensive clinical training. 

Outside of work Oriane can be found exploring the outdoors, bushwalking, camping, singing, doing yoga and reading.

Jessica Yazzolino

Occupational Therapist

Jessica is a kind-natured occupational therapist who believes that healing and growth happen best through safe relationships, curiosity, and joy.

She has a psychology background and places strong value on the therapeutic relationship, recognising trust and connection as the foundation for meaningful progress. Guided by the power of play, Jessica creates child-led, engaging experiences that support emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence.

Jessica draws inspiration from each child’s unique strengths and works collaboratively with families to create a supportive environment where children feel safe, understood, and empowered to thrive.

Outside of work Jessica enjoys swimming, dancing and going on beach walks.

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Collin is a resilient Occupational Therapy Assistant who really enjoys helping children reach their goals and thrive in their everyday environments. When he’s not studying, he loves being outdoors and spending time with his border collie.

Jason Hanna

Support Worker

Jason is an active support worker who enjoys moving, connecting with nature and learning about different ways to support healing of the body. With his experience in the outdoors and working with children in out of home care. He strives to create safe relationships and experiences for individuals in a meaningful and empowering way. Jason takes pride in health and wellness in daily routines, so you will often see him hiking, training or experimenting new recipes with his 3 children.

Emily Klonowski

Administrative Leader

Emily is a thoughtful person who strives as our administrative leader, to support families by creating a calm and safe space, whether that is in person or over the phone.

Outside of work, Emily is studying counselling and in her spare time, she loves reading, hiking and baking.
